This year I am resolved to get healthier. I’ve gotten into the habit of eating better, not eating at night, and even remembering to drink more water. But, one habit I haven’t been able to maintain is a regular exercise program. I get started, then fizzle out, only to begin again… Tracking my progress, other than the obvious weight loss, has been a sticking point. With nothing to measure, my determination seems to flag. So, I got an Ozeri digital pocket pedometer!
The Ozeri Digital Pocket Pedometer records everything – steps, distance, speed, calories, and time. It counts up to 1 million steps with 7-day memory, and includes a built-in clock, calendar and sports timer.
This weekend, I had the perfect occasion for my first try with the pedometer. My daughter was rowing in the Baltimore Invitational and the venue is vast. From the boat trailers, to the boathouse, to the tents, to the finish line – it’s an all day hike back and forth for each race!
The pedometer was a real wake up call. After my husband programmed it for me (I am somewhat technologically impaired) I just popped it in my pocket and forgot about it. But, at the end of the day, I could see how many (or in my case, how surprisingly few) steps I had really taken.
Adding extra steps is a simple and easy way to help stay fit and healthy. Park a little further away at the grocery store. Take the stairs. Walk to the post office instead of driving. I am keeping my pedometer with my phone, so it’s always with me. And, I am working my way – albeit slowly – toward those 1 million steps!
The Ozeri Digital Pocket 3D Pedometer is available on Amazon. List Price is $18.95. But right now, you can get it On Sale for only $15.95. Plus, get free shipping on all Amazon orders over $35!
