Just in time for warm-weather humidity, these Ouidad hair care products are especially formulated for frizz-free curly hair!

Spring is here and that means the onset of an ongoing battle with the frizzes until the leaves begin to fall. At times, I have gotten so discouraged with my frequently-untamable wavy locks, that I’ve spent entire summers wearing a ponytail.

Not this year! That’s because, quite by accident, I discovered Ouidad products. Ouidad formulates all of their products exclusively for curly hair — working from the inside out to leave hair healthy, manageable, and (most importantly, for me!) frizz-free.

First, I tried Ouidad’s Curl Quencher Moisturizing Shampoo. I was immediately struck by the pleasant fragrance – something between fresh linen and baby powder. So many salon shampoos have a heavy, or overly coconut-y scent — I was off to a great start. The lather was terrific, and it rinsed out easily and made my hair feel really clean.

According to Ouidad, the Curl Quencher Mosituring Shampoo is best for dehydrated curls and targets dryness with Vitamins A and E, while the Pro-Vitamin B5 adds body and shine. It’s safe for color-treated hair like mine, plus permed, or chemically straightened curls. With its special formulation of chamomile, corn oil, vitamins and wheat amino acids, Curl Quencher truly leaves hair shiny and manageable. Retail, 33.8 oz. $45.00

Next I tried the Moisture Lock Leave-in Conditioner. I was apprehensive, because many leave-in conditioners have a heavy feel, and leave hair feeling clumpy. Again, I was pleasantly surprised! My hair combed out beautifully and felt soft and silky, not sticky.

The folks at Ouidad say that it’s the Prickly Pear Cactus Extract that draws moisture from the air and seals it in for superior conditioning, as well as the Antioxidants Green Tea and Vitamin B5, which protect hair and promote shine. Retail, 24 oz. $36.00

After my hair was dried, it looked healthy, shiny and had great bounce. Best all – no frizz! Arnica Extract, a healing agent in the conditioner, helps seal the cuticle layer to prevent that hideous frizzy, fuzzy look that I hate so much.

Ouidad has numerous other products, all especially designed for curls – from kids’ products, to styling products, and even finishing agents. Ouidad products are available online at Ouidad or Search for a Salon near you to see the full line.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
