What initially attracted me to this Arabica Coffee Scrub is the fact that it is a high quality, all natural product that softens skin as it scrubs away dirt and dead skin cells. The coffee grounds and Dead Sea Salt in this scrub are a fantastic way to get rid of those bumps on the back of your arms, smooth out rough elbows, and “polish” knees. And, it is definitely time to get my skin, which was sadly neglected during the COVID-19 lockdowns, back into shape!
The formula also contains Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Cocoa Butter, and Grape Seed Oil. So, the scrub not only removes dead skin cells and exfoliates rough skin, the oils and Shea Butter leave skin moisturized (but not greasy). In fact, Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter are both high in antioxidants, so not only will skin look great, these ingredients actually promote cell repair and rejuvenation.
I also love the terrific coffee scent! I am a serious coffee lover (yes, I drink gallons of the stuff, but I also really enjoy coffee scented candles and other products). And, this scrub has a very invigorating coffee smell that really wakes me up in the shower.
Of course, one of the biggest benefits is that this scrub reduces the appearance of cellulite. Since nothing actually gets rid of cellulite, I figure that reducing the look is as good as it’s going to get. And, the combination of salt scrub, coffee grounds, and coconut oil actually does seem to increase circulation and smooth out the look of those unsightly bulges. My skin looks smoother and is infinitely more moisturized, which makes the cellulite less noticeable.
Full disclosure: Although the caffeine in this scrub is advertised to help in preventing varicose veins, I don’t have any. Nor do I have psoriasis. So, I cannot speak to the effectiveness of it for those specific purposes.
Overall, I think that this is a very good scrub. It performed well and has an excellent scent. It’s effective for dry, rough skin (although it is too abrasive for delicate facial skin). And, it comes with a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with the product, First Botany Cosmeceuticals will refund your entire purchase.
