Last fall, my youngest child left for college. Along with some massive “mandatory” wardrobe additions, I also purchased all of the bits and bobs necessary to turn a cold, impersonal dorm room into a home away from home. And, between the two girls, we thought we had it covered. Their space now boasts floaty curtains, a cushy carpet, coordinating comforters, monogrammed pillows, and enough bins, boxes, and baskets to rival Ikea. Finding inspiring artwork, however, has proven the most challenging. The images that were so important to my daughter during her high school career have fallen flat as her interests have changed. The watercolors of famous rowing venues, vintage rowing magazine covers, and rowing photography simply don’t resonate the way they did when she was competing. But, I recently found a fabulous, affordable solution from 76th & Newbury.
Custom artwork from 76th & Newbury offers a unique, custom look at an off-the-shelf price. I thought that creating individual artwork would be prohibitively expensive, particularly for a dorm room. But, 76th & Newbury offers so many reasonably priced options. And, they are all one-of-a-kind stunners.
There are gorgeous wedding, baby, and travel pieces, all of which make a big visual impact. For example, for my daughter, I chose the “Home is Where the Heart Is” travel coordinates on canvas (art paper is also available).
And, as a college student away from home for the first time, you might think I chose the longitude and latitude of our house. But… in a few months my daughter – a lifelong Francophile – leaves for Paris. (Although, unlike her older sister, who currently lives in Spain, this is for the summer only.) So, I chose the coordinates from the incomparable City of Light to commemorate the event.
Creating personal, custom artwork is simple at 76th & Newbury
Creating the piece was incredibly easy. I used the Latitude & Longitude Design Form right online to select the size, personalization, quote, color, and coordinates. (If you don’t feel confident working online, there is also a Design Guru who will work with you to create the perfect piece.) There is even a proof process, which allows 76th & Newbury to ensure that every detail is just right.
The final result is simply perfect. I think that creating a custom piece of artwork is a wonderful idea for a housewarming or for a wedding gift, baby shower or baby gift, or to commemorate any special occasion. (Remember, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Graduation, and Wedding Season all just a few months away!)
Visit 76th & Newbury to see all of the amazing artwork options. There are even daily specials, such as free shipping on orders over $70, wedding pre-ordering incentives, and other cost-saving deals.
So, what do I think of my experience with 76th & Newbury? All I can say is… oooo-la-la!
