Equestrian Home Style: 9 Essentials

9 simple ways to add equestrian style to your home

With the winter winds howling and more freezing rain predicted for tonight, this afternoon I just want to retreat to the library with a good book (currently, I am reading The Last Ember by Daniel Levin).  Although it’s tiny, our library does have the essentials — some lovely built-in bookcases I had custom made years ago, a squashy sofa, a multitude of pillows, and a wonderful reading lamp (absolutely no TV allowed in this room). With a cup of strong tea, surrounded by the English equestrian home style, it’s my own personal slice of heaven!

As much as I love the library, a little sprucing up is necessary from time to time (after all, I do have three kids and several wee beasties). And, since the room opens onto the heavily trafficked kitchen, I would like some continuity of style and flow.

So, I’ve researched a few new pieces (above) that would mesh quite well with my existing, heavily equestrian-influenced decor. Several are quite affordable and a few will definitely be placed on my official Wish List. After all, Christmas 2017 is only 355 days away!
