I love experimenting with home décor. When I was in college, I took some interior design electives and my husband will tell you that it was a mistake. Much to his dismay, I frequently rearrange the furniture and artwork, as well as add new pieces and subtract others. He never knows exactly what he’ll come home to!
Unfortunately, in the overall design of our home, our bedroom always seems to come last. Expenses like new living room couches, a canopy bed for my daughter, a hallway bathroom renovation, and updated kitchen cabinets have always taken precedence, as our bedroom languishes in a sort of half-finished state.
But, no longer…
This spring, our bedroom is receiving a major overhaul – from fresh paint, to exposing the hardwood floors, to new artwork, and more. The first thing to go? Our old bedding!
Because duvet covers are so inexpensive, we have been using the same comforter since we were married over 20 years ago – just changing out the cover periodically. I am not even sure how old our pillows are. And, most of our sheets are in a truly sorry state.
Luckily, I recently received a much-needed sheet set from Mellanni Fine Linens that has turned our bed into a gorgeous and cozy haven.
These 100% brushed microfiber sheets are so silky, soft and luxurious that I never want to get up! They are easily machine washable and so much more durable than cotton. Plus, the microfiber is fade, stain, shrink and wrinkle resistant. So, our new bedroom will look great for a long time.
The Mellani Fine Linens 4-piece set includes 1 flat sheet (102″ x 90″), 1 fitted sheet (80″ x 60″) and 2 pillowcases (20″ x 30″ each). And, the fitted sheet is extra deep and can accommodate mattresses up to 16″.
I chose the striped sheets in gray / silver for a nice neutral look. The tone-on-tone pattern is simple and elegant (although I would actually call the color “pewter,” not silver, since they are slightly darker than the image). These will be stunning paired with a new, stark white comforter and dust ruffle.
In addition to the pewter color, the sheets are also available in seven other designer shades (from lavender to oxblood), so it’s easy to find just the right hue.
The Mellanni Brushed Microfiber Sheet Set is available on Amazon Prime for only $35.00. And, Mellanni offers a lifetime guarantee. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, simply email Mellanni and receive a 100% money-back refund, absolutely no questions asked (in fact, you don’t even have to return the set).
The sheets have been a great way to kickstart our bedroom redo. And, now that our new bedding is complete and looks so great, I think it’s time to get started on pulling up that old carpet! (I can just hear my poor husband sighing now…)
