With a potential recession looming, I am paying a lot more attention to my “discretionary purchases” – you know, all of the wonderful things in life like new fall fashions, sparkly jewelry, and of course, beauty essentials.
And the older I get, the more essential those beauty products seem to become!
Although I have the luxury of trying more products than the average gal, not all of them are home runs. So, especially now, when I find a real winner that is also affordably priced, I love to share my findings. Most recently, I tested IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream – and it is one of the best.
Confidence in a Cream is an anti-aging, hydrating moisturizer. Its patented “Anti-Aging Armour Rejuvenating Concentrate” contains concentrations of niacinamide, squalane and peptide-lipid complex, all of which help reverse the signs of aging. The rich formula locks in hydration, reinforcing skin against external aggressors and providing a healthier, younger look.
This cream is ideal for normal or combination skin, as well as very dry skin, like mine. And, while I have notoriously finicky skin, this cream didn’t disturb its delicate balance, making it a great choice for those of us who are highly sensitive. (The paraben-free formula is free of artificial dyes and drying alcohols.)
A bonus – although this is not technically a night cream, it is so dense, I’ve actually been using it both morning and night. And it’s made such a difference! After just a few days of use, this cream provided me with noticeable minimization of my shallow wrinkles, enhanced the firmness of my skin, and even provided “plumpness.”
One note, although this is billed as a quickly absorbing formula, I found that it does take several minutes before I can apply makeup or lay on a pillowcase (even with my very dry skin). So, when using it for the first time, you may want to adjust your schedule and build in some extra time.
