These open toe, slingbacks are the ultimate transitional shoes!

Open Toed Booties are the ultimate transitional shoes for summer to fall.Dressing in the fall is all about walking a fine line. Even if the thermometer has barely budged since August, anything sleeveless or too summery looks out of sync with the season. And, it’s still far too warm to embrace true fall faves such as chunky sweaters, velvets, and wools. So, transitional shoes and wardrobe pieces are essential.

Among my favorite transitional finds are the Andrea Open Toe Booties by Lusthave, pictured. Although these are fall-friendly vegan suede, the booties have both an open toe and a slingback, so visually they are “lighter” than a completely enclosed boot or bootie.  This makes them a perfect choice when sandals feel too open and boots look too heavy.

Not only are these booties adorable, they are so comfortable. The low, 2 ¼ inch stacked heel is sturdy (absolutely no wobbling, unlike beautiful, but somewhat impractical stilettos). And, the adjustable Velcro strap ensures a secure fit.

How to wear open toe booties and transitional shoes

Open Toed Booties are the ultimate transitional shoes for summer to fall. These booties work with everything. Sheath dress and cropped jacket for a meeting with the boss? Check. Skinny jeans and cardi for brunch with the in-laws? Double check. Leather mini and sequined tank for Saturday date night? Well… you get the idea!

Wear these booties with bare legs at the beginning of fall. Or, as temps begin to dip, you can extend their life by utilizing Berkshire Hosiery’s clever Hose Without Toes.

I chose the Black Vegan Suede, shown, but there are several other must-have neutrals available including Cognac (shown) or Light Taupe Suede, as well as Black or Nude Vegan Leather.

These wonderful transitional shoes have one final attribute that I am so happy to share: the price! The Andrea Open Toe Booties retail for $34.99, but with Amazon Prime you can now get them for only $22.95. But, I suggest you get yours now. Because, at prices this low, they are sure to be gone before the leaves fall.
