Broad shouldered suits, retro glam, fabulous materials? It’s got to be Tom Ford.
This week at NYFW, the Tom Ford runway was filled with look-at-me crystallized T-shirts, backless jumpsuits, and shocking pink velvet. Fun!
But, some of the quieter moments were actually my faves. My top picks for sleek, simple (if tangerine leather can be considered simple), and wearable pieces are shown above.
My takeaways from Tom Ford Spring 2018? Be on the lookout now for:
- Broad shouldered, double breasted jackets that hit mid-hip
- Wider lapels
- Shimmering fabrics
- Cap toe heels, slingbacks, boots and flats
- Nude, shimmer pink and blush fabrics and accessories
- High waisted, wide legged trousers
- Wide legged, flowing jumpsuits
- Cuffs
- Retro brights (but not neons) such as royal blue, tangerine, hot pink
