Icy stud earrings are a classic. I have several pairs – both real and lab-created, in various sizes. And, they are always an easy choice, since the simplicity of the style complements just about everything – dressy and casual – in my closet. But, if you want something a little more modern than a simple brilliant cut, I suggest princess cut stud earrings. The princess cut studs pictured, by Luvami, are a wonderful example. These square beauties have such a clean, geometric look. And, the princess cut (which is actually an inverted pyramid in profile) is designed to really make the stone sparkle!
I will let you in on a little secret… the stones themselves are actually fabulous fakes. They are cubic zirconia, not diamonds.
But, these earrings are so well crafted, no one will ever know. The stones sparkle and flash, just like genuine diamonds. And, the stones rest securely in four sturdy prong settings which are Rhodium-plated for extra shine (and no polishing).
The designers at Luvami seem to have thought of everything. For example, the earring back is heavy-duty and large enough to manipulate. The post is notched for extra security (perfect for me since I lose earring backs at an alarming rate). These earrings even have 18k white gold plated posts for sensitive ears.
There is no denying that these are lovely, but how do they stack up against “the real thing?” I wondered. So, I did a little price comparison shopping.
At Zales, a pair of 1-1/2 ct. tw. (the largest they sell) princess cut diamond stud earrings set in 14k white gold rings up at $3,129.00. It will cost you $7,750 for a pair of 2 ct. tw., princess cut stud earrings set in 14k white gold at Blue Nile. And, for those same 2 ct. earrings, Ross Simons charges $8,996.25 on sale.
Now, I recognize that these are not real diamonds. However, the price tag of just $19.99 (plus free shipping on Amazon Prime) is very, very attractive. And, the best part? Luvami offers free lifetime replacement and free returns. So, there’s really nothing to lose! To learn more and order, visit Luvami on Amazon.
