One-shouldered looks top the Emmy Awards Best Dressed List

Emmy Awards best Dressed List 2016

Watching red carpet fashion is always a visual treat. And last night, stars at the Emmy Awards did not disappoint! From stunning color (Tina Fey in vibrant green) to eye-catching pattern (Kristen Bell in bold floral), the looks were as diverse as the actors themselves.

But, my favorites by far were the one shouldered dresses — from full sleeve (Heidi Klum) to barely there (Sophia Vergara).

One-shouldered tops and dresses began their resurgence this summer, led by designers such as Versace, Jacquemus, and Tibi. And this fall, the trend shows no sign of abating.

My Emmy Awards Best Dressed List includes the always lovely Priyanka Chopra in a look-at-me red Jason Wu empire waisted chiffon confection. The former Miss World and current star of “Quantico” owned the runway and even did a charming twirl for the paparazzi.

I also loved the talented Minnie Driver, who was smashing in a neon yellow Irit dress. She even managed to combine two trends – an asymmetrical neckline and cut-out detailing – in a destined-to-be-classic look.

And, Tracee Ellis Ross was simply a goddess in a heavenly white Ralph Lauren. For me, Ross and her sophisticated look were perhaps the most dramatic transformation, since I can’t help but associate Ross with her zany character Dr. Rainbow Johnson on “Black-ish!”
