Cat eye sunglasses are stylish AND smart

Cat eye sunglassesI love being surrounded by summer’s warm yellow rays of sunshine, but I know better than to leave the house without some serious protection. Not only will the sun prematurely age skin and quickly cause wrinkles, ultimately the damage can be far, far worse.

No matter how great a tan looks now, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma are never pretty. And, did you know that powerful UVA and UVB rays can also cause cataracts and eyelid cancers? So, in addition to SPF 50 and a great straw hat, I always wear sunglasses (even in the winter).

Although it’s clear that I need maximum eye protection from the sun’s damaging rays, I don’t want to sacrifice style when choosing my sunglasses. And now, I don’t have to!

These vintage-inspired sunglasses by Tantino are a simplified, modern version of the classic 1950s cat eye sunglasses. They are made with an acetate based frame, metal hinges and polycarbonate lenses. So retro chic!

Lest you think that you need to spend hundreds of dollars on pricey designer sunglasses in order to get proper protection, I’ll tell you a secret. You don’t! Not only are these cat eye glasses oh-so-stylish, they also offer 100% protection against harmful UVA and UVB rays. And, these flattering sunglasses retail for only $11.99 on Amazon.

Of course, if you like to have a sunglass “wardrobe” like I do, Tantino also offers many other styles — from oversized “Jackie-O” frames, to classic aviators, to fab Wayfarers, and so many more. To see the entire line, visit Tantino.

Let the sun shine!
