Rain, rain go away? Not if I have my new travel umbrella!

The last few months have been a continual deluge here on the East Coast. Our little pond is overflowing its banks and the yard is a sea of red clay and drowning flowers.

Whenever it rains, my mother loves to remind me that when I was in middle school, I refused to carry an umbrella. Apparently, this wasn’t the “cool” thing to do, so I (and all of my friends) would arrive everywhere soaking wet!

Today I am (a little) smarter and have a whole selection – everything from tiny umbrellas that fold up and fit in my smallest bag, to full-sized, colorful golf umbrellas so large that they could shelter half the state of Delaware!

My new go-to umbrella, however, is a simple, classic black folding umbrella by Clongi that is compact enough to fit in any bag, but opens to a full 21”. It’s handy to keep with me, so I am always prepared for unexpected (or inevitable, as the case may be) showers.

This umbrella is so convenient. It opens and closes with the simple push of a button. So, even if I am juggling a handbag, packages, or wrangling a car door, I can still stay dry.

It’s also well-constructed and has held up to some seriously windy, rainy days. It’s made of heavy-duty fabric that resists rips and tears, and has a strong metal frame. So, it won’t blow inside out at the first stiff breeze.

This umbrella is available on Amazon for only $19.95. And, with Amazon Prime, you can snap one up for only $14.95, plus free shipping.

And now the public apology – Mom, you were right!
