The fall’s hottest look? A sophisticated fur stole! Nothing is a faster update for a bland coat, simple suit or plain dress.
The luxe designer stoles and scarves showcased on the runway last spring were gorgeous – and pricey. But, I’ve found some incredibly affordable, widely available options below.
Or, you can prowl thrift shops (or your mom’s closet) for a vintage find, which can be easily altered. For example, I found an oversized, unfinished mink pelt trimmed with fox fur. I took it to my go-to seamstress who turned it into a one-of-a-kind stole that is so gorgeous, I am actually wishing for cold weather. Cost: A mere $40.
