Baltimore Invitational Regatta: Nautical Style

Baltimore Invitational regatta, nautical styleYesterday, my teenage daughter rowed in her very first regatta at the Baltimore Invitational hosted by the Baltimore Rowing Club. It was a gorgeous day to sit on the banks of the river and watch this beautiful sport. (It was also great because she won both of her races, but that’s beside the point!)

So today, I am focusing on nautical style for spring. Personally, I love all things nautical – crisp stripes, anchor emblems, and even the odd brass button or two! It’s easy, however, to “go overboard” on the nautical references. So, my advice is to keep it to a minimum of one or two per outfit.

Here are my top selections, but others include the darling handbags found at Ellen Allen Annapolis, traditional Topsiders by Sperry, and almost everything from Tommy Hilfiger’s Spring Runway Collection!

  • Ruched top (£65 – coast-stores.com)
  • Sonia by Sonia Rykiel black and white striped skirt (£80 – flannelsfashion.com)
  • Puma ballerina flats ($65 – puma.com)
  • Kate Spade over the shoulder tote bag ($248 – katespade.com)
  • Nautical charm bracelet (jewelry.1stdibs.com)
