I married a Scotsman. So, in addition to inheriting an amazing family tree (including a barony and a knighthood or two), as well as a clan motto “Victory or Death” (no, really), I also inherited a tartan. The McNeill tartan is a lovely blue and green with yellow accents. And, although our last family reunion included a few dapper gents sporting authentic kilts (and great legs!), I prefer slightly smaller doses of plaid in my daily wardrobe and a tartan with subtle hues.
Since many plaids are woven in soft merino wools or cozy flannels, fall is the perfect opportunity to add a dash of plaid to your wardrobe. I’ve included a few items that can easily be added to almost any fall or winter wardrobe seamlessly. Am I mad for plaid? Absolutely!
