I absolutely adore vintage inspired charm bracelets! There’s something so sweet about items in miniature – I guess I never outgrew my childhood love of doll houses. I love these baubles so much, in fact, that I created sterling silver charm bracelets for both of my girls. For each special holiday, vacation or life event, each gets a new charm. Ashley is 18 now and her bracelet is absolutely full (maybe I should have started charm necklaces?!).
Curious about the origins of charm jewelry, I recently visited My Mother’s Charms and found a complete history! According to the site, “Elaborate jewelry made of precious stones and metals emerged during the age of the Egyptian Pharaohs. It was during this time that the first recognizable charm bracelets and necklaces first appeared.” Wow!
If you like charm jewelry, too, be sure to visit My Mother’s Charms for some sweet additions to your bracelet to mark your life events, from traditional hearts, to tiny houses, to baby highchairs and more.
