Secret weapon: Skineez leggings

This morning when I went outside, it was cold. If I sound indignant, well, I guess I am! I love summer and the fall transition is always a challenge for me. No more sitting by the pool. No more beach trips. And definitely no sitting on the patio at 6:00 am with my coffee.

But the worst part of the fall transition? Saying goodbye to my favorite summer clothes! To extend their wear a little bit, I have a collection of cardigans, transitional scarves, tights, and the like.

Now that leggings are here to stay, I’ve begun to incorporate them into my wardrobe, as well. Cozy, comfortable and very trendy, how could leggings get any better? The answer is Skineez!

These cute, reversible leggings have skincare ingredients embedded into the garments (seriously!). They feature a patented new technology called Skintex® that weaves the garments with microcapsules to moisturize and smooth your skin while you wear them. With bitter cold weather and its drying effects just around the corner, this is great news!

Here’s the science: The Skintex® technology treats fabrics with large amounts of microcapsules that contain cosmetic ingredients. Each microcapsule, designed to protect the ingredients inside, is coated with a layer of chitosan (made from the shells of shrimps). Skineez leggings contain shea butter, vitamin E, retinol, caffeine, rose hip oil, and apricot kernel oil. This unique combination soothes, tones, and moisturizes your skin all day long!

Not only are the Skineez leggings great for your skin, they are completely adorable. Each pair is reversible, so you get two different looks. From brown & black, to navy & black, to my favorite, charcoal & black, these leggings are perfect to wear underneath your favorite dress or short skirt. The leggings even have a lovely bit of lace trim at the bottom of the leg that grazes just above the ankle. Retail $40

Skineez leggings are available online. Plus, you can also find other garments with the same amazing Skintex technology – tops, bottoms, denim, even trousers socks and tights.
