I first saw Tiffany & Co. key pendants when they were launched back in 2009. Huge double page spreads in all of my favorite magazines couldn’t fail to catch my eye, nor could the elegance of the various shapes and designs. An instant classic, Tiffany key pendants have become a timeless symbol of sophistication, much like the instantly recognizable Return to Tiffany collection.
While the keys were initially inspired by a set of exquisite vintage keys in the Tiffany & Co. Archive, each year, new keys make their appearance! Some are simple and elegant, while others are intricately detailed and laden with gems. But each would make a stunning addition to your jewelry box.
The keys have a cozy, vintage feel and remind me of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s wonderful book The Secret Garden (a lifelong personal favorite). Who can forget that pivotal moment when the intrepid Mary Lennox places the key into the walled garden’s door and opens it into a world of wonder? Pure magic!
Tiffany keys certainly provide a bit of that same magical allure and I find that the look works equally well with casual weekend wear and obligatory business wear. Tiffany offers a design for every woman’s style and a price for every budget. Here are some of my new faves:
