I was around for the original Ugg craze back in the early 2000s. And since then, their popularity has waxed and waned (most notably with major burst of attention during the COVID years, when comfort was paramount). But I am happy to report that Ugg boots are back on the must-have lists for fall 2025. In fact, none other than Sarah Jessica Parker will be starring in Ugg’s Fall 2025 Campaign. I am so here for it!
Since the Y2K Ugg craze, the company has rolled out many, many wonderful variations of the boot, from Goldenstar Clogs, to Classic Micro Boots, to Disquette Slippers. And, the color section is wider, too. New colors for the Classic Mini II, for example, include Sand; Pink Dawn, Cobble Grey, Mustard Seed (a limited edition), and Moss Green.
Already, street sightings have increased. According to InStyle magazine, “Gigi Hadid recently provided the perfect cozy outfit inspo… styling Uggs with a long coat and jeans, Hadid proved that the shearling-lined boots don’t have to be reserved exclusively for lounging around the house in sweats or throwing on with leggings for coffee runs. In fact, Uggs pair adorably with baggy jeans for an effortless fall ‘fit that combines the comfort of pajamas with the cool-factor of a model-off-duty look.”
Even with all of the new boot styles, heel heights, and a palatte of pretty new hues, if I can only purchase one new pair of Uggs for fall, for me it’s the Women’s Classic Short II Boots in chestnut. This is the style equivalent of a camel hair long coat, a little black dress, or a basic gold bangle. Timeless!
