I first met fashion designer Anastassia Gonye while on vacation back in 1999. At that time, she had just started her oh-so-stylish fledgling children’s clothing line and was working – literally – from her kitchen table! Over the last 15 years, Gonye has come a long way from those early days! Today, the popular Tuff Kookooshka line of endearing hats, mittens, scarves, character coats, and pullovers is sold in fine children’s stores and boutiques throughout the US, Canada, and even in Japan. In addition, Gonye now operates two holiday pop-up retail locations in Chelsea Market and Grand Central Station in New York City.
Her instantly-recognizable pieces are highly sought after for their impeccable craftsmanship, appealing colors, and sweet designs. Lately, celebrity kids have been sporting Tuff Kookooshka pieces with increasing frequency.
