Thanksgiving is almost upon us. And somehow, this year I am actually ready! One of my issues to “getting it all done” has always been organization. So, this year, well in advance of the crazy holiday season, I vowed to pull myself together and really organize. That meant cleaning (and painting) closets, emptying drawers, and evaluating what to keep, donate or toss – uncovering some wonderful, forgotten treasures along the way!
My home makeover this fall involved a lot of hard work and heavy lifting, but one easy (and painless!) way I got organized was to install a Greenco organizer rack in the garage. I have a bad habit of leaving cleaning products and tools… all over the place. Under the bathroom sinks, in the hall closet, in the linen cupboard. Of course, when I need them again, I can’t remember exactly where I left them!
So, I installed a Greenco organizer rack in the garage to hold all of my items in one place. Now, I will never wonder again, exactly which bathroom I left the broom in!
The Greenco organizer rack is made to hang and organize all your cleaning items like brooms, mops, and dusters. But, it is also a great solution for garden equipment, tools, and sports equipment.
The rack holds up to 11 tools, with six hooks for smaller, hanging items. There are even five automatically adjustable holders, which adjust to each handle’s thickness and hold up to seven pounds. (To release the tool, simply lift the handle to unlock the grippers.)
I like the automatically adjustable holders, but some of my handles were a little too slim, so I simply hung them “business side” up (as shown, above).
The organizer was easy to install. I used a metal skewer to mark the holes (a pencil is too thick). And, I mounted it to wood in the garage. But, if you plan to mount it to drywall, drywall anchors (not included) will be necessary, since you will be pulling items off repeatedly.
