Do you tend to hibernate a bit in the cold, winter months? Me, too! Getting out for dinner or drinks with a friend just feels daunting when snow and ice are constantly threatening. But, now that spring has arrived in full force, it’s time to get outside and get social. In my area, spring always means a visit to one of the many outdoor beer gardens that offer a festive atmosphere, drinks, live music, and lawn games. But, when each martini costs more than $15, that give me pause on going out too often.
The solution? Hosting an at-home lawn games night!
Of course, lawn games are nothing new. According to Wikipedia, “It has been suggested that bowls itself likely originated from Ancient Rome, in a game played by Roman soldiers that involved rolling a ball, as close as possible to mark on the ground.”
But lawn games have come a long way since then! If you’re ready to turn your yard into the go-to spot amongst your family and friends, here are four of my favorites. They are quick to learn, easy to play, and a whole lot of fun!
