A few years ago, beautiful wood watches burst onto the scene, forever changing the way we look at “traditional” materials. Since then, wood has become a popular material for other chic accessories, from sleek wood bangles (like the Elsa Peretti bangle originally available at Tiffany & Co.), to clever wood vanity cases (from Chanel).
But nowhere is the lasting trend more evident (for women and men!) than in the case of wood sunglasses. Of course, not all wood sunglasses are created equal. And when purchasing online, goods that are mass produced, veneered, or are of sub-par quality are not always discernable when looking at slick, filtered Instagram images.
