Since the pandemic began a little over a year ago, the severe stress caused me to start losing my hair. Thankfully, now that I am vaccinated and feeling a bit more hopeful, it’s not coming out in handfuls anymore. But it still feels so thin! Two products that I’ve been using, which have really helped are a Biotin Hair Growth Serum by Pureauty and smoothing Allurials Carrot Seed Oil . Both make a tremendous difference. But, Redken Volume Injection Shampoo and Conditioner for Fine Hair have taken the look of my hair to a completely new level.
Redken Volume Injection Shampoo
Even if this shampoo didn’t maximize the volume of my hair, I love the heady smell and the incredibly rich lather. I also love the that this shampoo gets my hair and scalp super clean. But, amazingly, it actually makes my thinning hair look fuller and thicker.
It’s not that it creates more hair (I wish!). But it pumps up the volume of every single strand. And, it does so without the harsh drying effects I’ve experienced with some other volume-enhancing products. (Since I have color-treated hair, which is dry to start, I don’t want to trade one problem for another.)
Instead, my hair is soft, full and healthy-looking. It also seems to hold a curl better than before, which is an unexpected bonus.
Redken Volume Injection Conditioner
This conditioner manages to somehow simultaneously maximize volume, without weighing it down under heavy product residue. This is no small feat! I have tried many, many conditioners and this combination is very rare.
The conditioner itself is thick and rich, and a little goes a long way. Once it’s fully rinsed out, a comb just glides right through wet hair. The difference between this and my old conditioner is immediately noticeable.
And, my hair, when dried, is so soft, with great movement!
Of course, I guess I should not be overly surprised by how much these two products have improved the look of my hair. Redken is, after all, the #1 professional haircare brand in the US. And, their scientific approach to innovative haircare formulas has been legendary since the company was founded in the 1960s.
