For the majority of us, Thanksgiving will look a lot different this year. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the celebrations will be smaller and more intimate, confined to household members only.
But, even though the Thanksgiving table will be significantly smaller than in years past, it doesn’t mean that it should be any less beautiful!
Despite the pandemic, we still have a lot to be thankful for. Rather than downplay this year’s feast, I plan to do just the opposite. And, I am starting with beautiful table settings and décor.
With less people seated around the table, there’s more space to make it spectacular (it’s all about finding those silver linings, right?).
This year, I will be displaying my grandmother’s beloved vintage china, the infrequently used Waterford napkin rings, and of course, the sterling flatware. With so few table settings, washing these fragile pieces by hand seems a small price to pay to set a truly spectacular scene.
I’ve highlighted some of my favorite ideas for stunning table designs. From rustic chic plaid tablecloths and wooden candlesticks, to mountains of pumpkins, gourds and greenery you are sure to find a look that inspires a truly thankful holiday.
