How to best wear animal print?
The key to wearing animal print successfully (without looking like Tarzan or a Real Housewives of Anywhere) is to use restraint. Bold animal prints work best as accents. Animal print accessories such as handbags (such as the Michael Kors, Whitney bag, shown) shoes, belts, jewelry, sunglasses, and scarves (such as the Ralph Lauren stunner, pictured) are all great options.
For the brave, a larger piece, like a dress, skirt, jeans, or coat can be worn in combination with solids. And, black. Lots of black.
Careful fabric selection is also crucial. For an animal print (or really any print) high quality fabric is essential. Whereas you might be able to get away with any bargain piece in solid black, a leopard or cheetah print done in an inexpensive fabric instantly reads as “cheap.”
