Giveaway! TWO will win a charming carved stone pendant

Giveaway! Win a carved stone pendant for fall. Ends 9-16-2018From intaglios to cameos, I simply loved carved jewelry. And now, two of my readers can win a lovely carved stone pendant.

These tiny carved stone turtles pack a big style punch. You can choose to wear them on a long chain, as a choker with a sheer ribbon, or on knotted cord.

Carved stone is a beautiful, and affordable, alternative to pricier gems. According to jewelry industry experts at JCK magazine, “As much as we all love sapphires, diamonds and emeralds, sometimes a well-placed malachite or turquoise will create an effect just as desirable for a fraction of the price… the subtle allure of these less-flashy stones chimes with a sophisticated younger audience. Trendsetter Cara Delevingne often favours black onyx over diamonds.”

And, designers everywhere have jumped on the bandwagon. In an article earlier this year, National Jeweler magazine, an industry standard, cited stellar examples from some of the most well-known and coveted designers including an 18-karat yellow gold ring with 23 carats of carved quartz by Adam Foster and an 18-karat white gold necklace with carved moonstones and diamond by Karma El Khalil.

My favorite piece is a turquoise and silver necklace that was given to my husbands mother when she was a new bride. It is a family piece that had been made in the 1920s by an uncle.

I love Moonstone, so usually, I wear Moonstone rings. Moonstone has great healing properties, which keeps me calm and happy all day.
