My daughter was recently invited to attend a Holiday Gala in our nation’s capital. In preparation, we exchanged a flurry of frenzied emails including links to appropriate dresses, shoes, jewelry and handbags. Quite a few frantic, late night phone calls ensued, as well!
She finally settled on a wow-me strapless evening jumpsuit in electric purple-blue. And, it was simply stunning. But, before we did all of that wondering and worrying, I wish we had visited Georges Hobeika for inspiration!
Internationally acclaimed for his romantic, feminine sense of elegance, haute couture designer Georges Hobeika doesn’t simply create clothes – he creates art. Since 2001, when Hobeika’s couture first debuted in Paris, his designs have captivated followers of fashion. Today, his three lines of ready-to-wear, Georges Hobeika Bridal, Georges Hobeika Signature, and GH by Georges Hobeika, are all available to devotees.
But, it’s his couture confections that remain legendary. And, none more so that the Fall-Winter 2017/18 Haute Couture collection, which debuted in the spring.
What makes this particular collection so special? According to Georges Hobeika, this collection, “draws its vibrant energy from Andalusia’s ornamental traditions and its inspiration from the great architectural styles that have developed throughout the ages on the Iberian Peninsula. It is an ode to the palaces designed by artistic genius, forever filled with gold and harmonies.”
So, if you have a Holiday Gala, fundraiser, or black-tie event fast approaching this holiday season, take a few minutes to enjoy the entire show, above, and get a bit of inspiration. To see even more divine design from Georges Hobeika, click here.
