Western Ankle Boots: Find of the Season!

Western Ankle Boots: Find of the Season!Apple picking, hayrides, smore’s over the bonfire… I love fall. Now that my kids are grown and I no longer spend the entire season creating over-the-top Halloween costumes (for their ponies, too!), I can really enjoy autumn. In fact, we have lots of fun plans this fall including a trip to the Devon Horse Show Fall Classic, a visit to Ramsey Farm to find essential pumpkins and gourds, and of course, a day at the Delaware Beer and Wine Festival! Dressing for each of these, very different events, is so much easier this year because I’ve found the most perfect Western ankle boots.

The vegan suede Madeline Western Ankle Boots, shown, have a low, 1 ½ inch stacked heel, so they are great for walking (even all day long). The cushioned foot beds with sturdy, non-slip soles mean I can even navigate farm fields with ease. And, the low cut ensures that I’ll never get too hot, since September weather can range from the low 50’s at night, to the high 70’s by mid-day.

Plus, these Western ankle boots are right on trend. According to Who, What, Wear, “We recently spotted two indicators that strongly point to Western ankle boots being the next big thing. While they’ve been slowly creeping their way onto fashion girls’ feet, it’s seeming more and more like this is shaping up to be the year of the Western and cowboy boot trend.”

But, what I like best about the Madeline Western Ankle Boots is that, although they channel the Western boot vibe, they aren’t overtly “cowboy.” There’s no fancy stitching or details to date them. In fact, they are extremely streamlined and simple, incorporating subtle details, such as a zip up back and gently curved sides that are fashionable, not rugged country. I can wear them forever!

And, they are so easy to style. Pair them with jeans and a sweater, a casual long sleeved tee-shirt dress and plaid scarf, a mini and denim jacket… The possibilities are endless.

If you can only afford one pair of low boots this season, these Western Ankle Boots are my top pick.

The retail price for these Western Ankle Boots is $34.99, but with Amazon Prime, you can get yours for just $29.99. (Compare that to a very similar pair by Sam Edelman that I found for $120!)

I chose the great neutral smoky taupe, pictured. But, this style is also available in black nubuck, black suede, light gray, oatmeal, and chamois suede. To see all the options, visit Lusthave on Amazon.
