Luxury baths in resorts, spas, and hotels are a posh way to get away from the stress of it all. But, what if you could have that level of pampering right at home? I am not talking about installing thousands of dollars of Italian marble tile, underfloor heating, or even springing for new Matouk Lotus Body Sheets… I am talking about bath bombs!
Bath bombs are a simple, everyday luxury that elevates the humble bath and turns it into a blissful, relaxing experience.
Not all bath bombs are created equally, however. Although many on the market are fragrant, fizzy and fun, not all work to relieve body soreness or loosen your muscles. But, Glow By Daye has recently released a new set of bath bombs that do just that.
I recently had the opportunity to try them and I really put them to the test! Over the last few weeks, preparing for my daughter’s graduation party has been a physically grueling task. In our zeal to throw her a massive, blow-out shindig for all of her school friends, family, neighbors, and the entire Varsity crew team, we forgot about all of the yard work that was necessary to host such an event.
I weeded, pruned, fertilized, and mulched. I power washed the house, the deck, and the driveway. I even hauled wheelbarrow, after wheelbarrow (after wheelbarrow!) of rocks up from the creek to amp up our rock garden borders. The party was gorgeous… and after all was said and done, I was exhausted.
These Glow By Daye bath bombs were an absolute lifesaver. They contain a unique blend of therapeutic salts (like natural sea salts and Epsom salts) that relax stiff joints and tight muscles. And, to physically rejuvenate, a soak in the tub was exactly what I needed at the end of each day’s work (although once or twice I was seriously in danger of falling asleep in the tub!).
Not only are these bath bombs therapeutic, they also smell like heaven. Choices include: Chill Pill (milk), Refresh Button (vanilla), Summer Glow (strawberry), Sweet Something (rose), Life Detox (cherry blossom) and my personal fave, Weekend Bliss (lavender). They are even packed with essential oils and moisturizers for soft, silky skin!
The balls themselves are perfectly sized at 4 oz. each. (For comparison purposes, Lush bath bombs range from a tiny 2.1 oz. to a massive, oversized 6.3 oz.). And, they melt and fizz relatively quickly in the bath (I put mine right under the running water to start, so I don’t have undissolved chunks in the bath, like you get with some of the gigantic sized bath bombs).
For anyone with sensitive skin, these bath bombs contain no artificial ingredients, are hypoallergenic and can even be used by children. And, with no harsh dyes, these pretty pastel bombs also leave no residue or color in your tub (a pet peeve of mine).
