After trying hundreds of skincare products, I’ve come to the conclusion that there truly is no “magic cure” for wrinkles and aging skin. But, there are three simple steps that women can take to really improve the look of skin at any age.
- Remember to wear sunblock every day, summer and winter. This is crucial to prevent further sun damage.
- Drink plenty of water. Plain old H2O is good for your entire body, but is especially helpful for maintaining youthful looking skin.
- Consistently use a nourishing night cream. Nighttime is the perfect opportunity to use a cream that’s heavier and much more hydrating than one for used every day under makeup.
Since I hit a milestone birthday last year, I have been working hard to consistently do all three. The sunblock is easy, since many daytime wrinkle creams already contain it. And, drinking water is simple if I load up a pitcher first thing in the morning as my “goal.” But, I have a tendency to forget night cream if I am very tired (which, unfortunately, is often!).
According to The Beauty Magazine, however, “Overnight, skin can become seriously dehydrated… even a little dehydration can interfere with skin’s rebuilding and repairing process, so skin is sabotaged by dryness right when we need it to be performing at its peak…”
When I read that, I knew I needed to get more serious about my nighttime routine!
One cream that I’ve discovered recently that is ultra-hydrating, deeply nourishing and restorative is eb5 Intense Moisture Anti-Aging Cream. Although not specifically touted as a “night cream” (it can be worn during the day, as well), I find that the dense, rich, sunscreen-free cream is perfect for nighttime use.
eb5 contains a patented blend of wrinkle-reducing Vitamin A, free-radical fighting Vitamin E, strengthening Vitamin B, moisture-encouraging Oat Flour, and soothing Comfrey Root. This unique combination of ingredients fights the signs of aging that are the result of too much sun, environmental damage like smoking, and exposure to everyday pollution. This type of extrinsic aging shows up as thickening of the outer layer of skin, unsightly freckles and sun spots, and exaggerated loss of collagen and elastin. The result is skin that looks rough, uneven, and wrinkled. In a word… old.
I have been using the eb5 Intense Moisture Anti-Aging Cream religiously every night for over a week and already I’ve seen a great improvement in my skin. When I awake in the morning, my skin looks fresher and plumper, with far less noticeable wrinkles around my eyes. Even the “pillow lines” I usually have are greatly diminished!
eb5 Intense Moisture Anti-Aging Cream is just one of the many fabulous skincare products from eb5 Skincare. Based in Portland, Oregon, eb5 Skincare is a family-owned business that dates back to 1904, when pharmacist Samuel Heldfond began creating life-changing remedies for the customers of his apothecary.
In the 1960’s, his son Robert studied Vitamins E and B and their effect on skin. He included extracts and oils, and advanced pharmaceutical-influenced ingredients, all chosen because of their ability to treat skin. He patented the formula, calling it the original 5-in-1 facial cream and it quickly became the go-to wrinkle cream choice for women of all ages.
Today, eb5 treatments are still based on clinical science. From favorites like Facial Treatment, to Vitamin C Serum Concentrate to Collagen Treatment Serum, all eb5 products are designed to treat fine lines, wrinkles, age spots and increase firmness and skin tone.
