Pastels in Winter? Yes, Please!

Pastels in winter? Yes, please! One of my favorite runway trends this winter is the return of winter pastels. Although darker, richer jewel tones are more traditional for winter, I love the surprise of a wool jacket in shell pink, a pencil skirt in mint green, or a cashmere sweater in the palest sky blue. Pastels in winter? Yes, please!

Of course, this look is only effective when the materials are the proper winter weight like smooth wools, nubby Chanel tweeds, and fluffy angora. That means that even if your ultimate-favorite-I-can’t-wait-to-wear-it spring sweater is the perfect shade of lavender – resist! Leave it in the closet until April.

Above I’ve highlighted a few show stopping pieces, but you will find options in all of your favorite stores!
