This fall, your fashion choices will truly run the gamut – from rocker chic leather, to retro 1940’s glam, to minimalist simplicity. But, one of the trends I am most excited about is the over-the-top opulence inspired by the remake of the film classic Anna Karenina.

I must admit to a weakness for luxury when the weather turns cold. I’m happy enough to breeze through summer in a simple Lilly Pulitzer shift dress or a sarong over a swimsuit, but in the fall I crave velvet, fur and gems… lots of gems.

So (with the tiniest bit of a chill in the air) this morning I got excited when I found the Larkspur & Hawk faceted amethyst and oxidized sterling ring (top left) which exemplifies the sumptuousness of period. This beauty was inspired by traditional 18th century jewelry techniques and the foil-backed amethyst will lend antique appeal to every look.

The ring is available for $1,300, so I’ve also included five gorgeous faceted options that are all priced well below that – in fact, they are each under $100!
