Would you wear these? Fashionable footwear as… art?

Shoes as art. Spring 2012.

I love shoes. For me, shoes are like art, and my closet is full of them – everything from pink and green polka dot slides, to lavender pumps, to cherry red loafers!

This spring, the shoes-as-art concept is taken to a whole new level by some of my favorite designers. From BALENCIAGA to BETSEY JOHNSON these shoes provide an interesting balance to the skin-baring fashions so prevalent this spring — and they are so sculptural, I think they belong in a museum!

If you aren’t quite adventurous enough to wear the designs above, I’ve also highlighted some gorgeous, on-trend shoes that would easily be incorporated into even a conservative wardrobe.

So, tell me, would you wear these spring 2012 designs?

The shape of things to come!

While I love shoes, I think my style to wear any of those is too conservative (aka boring). I need to scour your site to see if you have a pic of your shoe closet – you’ve made me curious!
