Customized, hand stamped jewelry is a huge trend that is definitely here to stay! A large part of the looks’ popularity is that not only are these pieces lovely, they are personalized just for you. Add one tag — or four. Incorporate children’s names, meaningful dates, or even a phrase that is special to you. Complete your look with a host of crystal, pearl or birthstone dangles. It’s a little like becoming your very own jewelry designer!
One of the best firms I’ve found for lovely hand stamped jewelry is Joseph Allen Designs. The quality of these pieces just can’t be beat. Plus, with so many designs from which to choose, you are sure to find the perfect combination for you!
My personal favorite is the Little Bird necklace. This necklace is cast in Argentium Sterling Silver and the medallion is a generous 1 inch in diameter. You can incorporate up to 10 characters to be hand stamped (good news for those with long names!) and all letters are a lowercase in the designer font pictured. Choose either a sterling silver curb or bead chain, in 16, 18 or 20 inch lengths. Retail $41.
I also am drawn to the simplicity of the Forever Circle necklace. Like the Little Bird necklace, the Forever Circle is carved and cast in Argentium Sterling Silver, with a smooth satin finish. The medallion size is large — 1-3/8 inches — and up to 42 characters can be hand stamped around circle! This piece is perfect for a short phrase, poem fragment or Bible verse. Retail $55
In addition to lovely necklaces, Joseph Allen Designs also offers an array of hand stamped key chains, pet lovers’ hand stamped jewelry, and even hand stamped bracelets. Prices start at just $32.
