In 2002, The Heart Truth, a national awareness campaign for women about heart disease, launched its eye-catching logo of a little red dress to remind us that hearts disease is the #1 killer of women.
And since that time, organization reps say, “Studies show women’s heart disease awareness has doubled since the launch of the program in 2002, but it still remains their leading cause of death.” In fact, one in four women in the United States will die from heart disease – sobering statistics.
