Think Pink: Support Breast Cancer Research

Think Pink: Support Breast Cancer ResearchOctober is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! According to the CDC, each year in the United States, about 255,000 women get breast cancer and 42,000 women die from the disease. But, researchers are making great strides against the disease and you can help, simply by wearing pink to support awareness, education and empowerment.

A quick search through some of my favorite fashion and beauty blogs turned up some great suggestions on how to support the mission. At The Stiletto Jungle an Elizabeth and James BCA Necklace was featured,  available at Shopbop for only $58. Super stylish!

I also found a sweet pale pink crystal bracelet for $60 by Angela Moore. 15% of the net proceeds from the entire collection is donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, not just in the month of October, but year-round.

Making the world more beautiful is the Conair Ceramic Hair Straightener. Conair’s pink edition flat-iron will not only make your hair look fabulous, but 15% of net sales of product goes to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Only $34.99

And finally, yet another reason to buy some of my favorite beauty products! Purchasing from the Estee Lauder Pink Ribbon Collection of products will help send a $500,000 donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

No budget? No problem! Wear whatever pink you have in your closet this month – a pink bow, bag, top or dress – in solidarity to raise awareness. Here’s some inspiration to get you started.
