A glass nail file provides a professional finish. Get yours in our GIVEAWAY

A few years ago a good friend of mine had the scare of her life when she contracted a fungal disease after receiving a mani-pedi. She went to a very reputable salon, but the instruments weren’t properly cleaned, and it took her months to recover.

Since then, I’ve shied away from nail salons and have been taking care of my nails almost exclusively at home. But, it’s not always easy! My hands really take a beating — between my volunteer work sorting and cleaning books for Success Won’t Wait, to my gardening, to simply cleaning the house, my hands and nails don’t always look so pretty.

So, anything that makes my hands and nails look better is a welcome addition to my beauty arsenal. And recently, I discovered that you can buy a glass nail file.

Why glass? First, nail files created from hardened-glass can be easily sanitized using rubbing alcohol or peroxide. Unlike metal (which can rust) and porous emery or pumice, glass nail files are completely hygienic.

Next, a glass nail file makes your nails look great! The file’s surface is very fine, so you can shape your nails easily with no chipping, cracking or peeling.

And, the Crystal Glass Nail Files from Iridesi will never wear out. The grit is etched, not applied. So it will not come off, even if you use them on artificial nails.

Finally, they are just so pretty! There are two files included in the set: one is 5 1/2 inches and the other is 3 1/2 inches. So, they can easily be popped into a makeup case or even a small purse.

This glass nail file set retails for $21.71. But now, one lucky reader can win this nail file set! To enter, simply use our easy Rafflecopter form below. This giveaway is available for readers in the CONTINENTAL USA, aged 18+. Odds are determined by the number of entries received. Giveaway ends 7-3-2017.

I had never heard of glass nail files, and the idea of a very fine surface to file with sounds good. So often, filing nails seems to do little good because the file is not appropriately fine.
