Now that I’ve turned the calendar page, I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving! Not only because I love my turkey, but because we will host our annual Thanksgiving bash for about 40 family members and close friends. Unfortunately, my history with Thanksgiving is not too inspiring … white Angora sweater splashed while stirring the gravy (ruined), magenta silk scarf dipped while mashing potatoes (ruined), grease spots on my favorite black pants (ruined). You get the picture. I vow, when deciding what to wear on Thanksgiving, this year will be different.
Now comes the hard part… exactly what do I wear? My family and friends are certainly not going to be playing touch football on the lawn like the Kennedy clan. But, we’re not exactly stuffy either. And, since we are hosting, I will on my feet for 12 hours (or more). Which leaves me with a conundrum. What is fashion-forward, comfortable, and not too fussy?
I found my answer, as always, online. These three looks are easy, comfortable and super stylish. (Note the cozy flat shoes, forgiving silhouettes, and minimal jewelry.) Plus, they are all so affordable.
Great friends, great food, and, a great look? Thanksgiving can’t come soon enough!
