Coachella 2016 has begun! If you are unfamiliar with the event, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (known simply as Coachella) is a highly anticipated annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in the Colorado Desert. Since 1999, it has been the place for music fans to see, not only popular and established musical artists, but also exciting, emerging artists and reunited groups.
Of course, Coachella is also known for its extreme… fashion.
Some of the more unusual ensembles are calculated to shock and maybe garner 15 minutes of fame. But, most who attend are simply stepping out of a 9-5 uniform and expressing some individuality!
Choosing clothing for Coachella can be challenging. Hanging out in the desert for several days is hot and dusty. Absolute must-haves include a decent hat (no baseball caps here — straw is a top choice because it breathes) and protective sunglasses. Clothing should be loose, comfortable or bare, and of course – stylish.
Here are a few pieces you’ll want to pack if you are headed to Coachella!
