A copy of an ancient Jane Fonda workout video came through my Facebook feed the other day and just for grins, I watched a moment or two. It got me thinking about the amazing evolution of workout wear – from velour track suits in the 1970s, to leg warmers in the 1980s, to today’s category-crossing activewear pieces like yoga pants, sports bras, and dry-wicking sweatshirts.
One piece of workout wear that will I believe will stand the test of time? Workout leggings — comfortable, functional and stylish.
And, Sport-it! workout leggings are some of my favorites! They are made of a mix of Nylon and Spandex for the ideal combination of stretch and softness, with chafe-proof, flat lock seams. They are so easy to care for – simply machine wash and dry.
Plus, they are cute enough to wear far beyond the gym. In fact, these are so good-looking, you won’t mind stopping at Starbucks or the dry cleaners on the way home from a workout. Or, if you plan on entering any charity 5Ks this holiday season, these are the perfect choice.
I especially love the wide, flattering waistband that trims your waist and makes a dreaded muffin-top virtually disappear. Plus, that wide wasitband contains a secret — an Integrated Runner’s Belt — it’s wide enough to carry keys, credit card and an iPhone 6 Plus!
The workout leggings are available on Amazon. The List Price is $42.95, but they are currently on sale for only $38.95. They would make an affordable and much-appreciated holiday gift for the fitness enthusiast — or a little gift for yourself!
