Since I can’t afford to replace major purchases every few years, I try hard to keep my pieces looking beautiful and performing their best through regular maintenance and protection. From carpet shampooing to Scotch Guard on the sofa, I find a little extra effort really extends the life of these pieces.
Mattresses, in particular, can be oh-so-pricey. For example, a Tempur-Pedic California King Mattress Set will set you back a whopping $9,299 at Macys, which is why a good mattress protector is a must.
One mattress protector I’ve found that fits the bill is the Priva Mattress Protector from Fiberlinks Textiles. It has a soft groove surface that provides added strength, making it incredibly durable and virtually unrippable. (This is a huge plus for me because our old one was virtually in shreds from frequent washings!)
It’s also extremely well-constructed. The elasticized sidewalls keep the protector firmly in place – no more slipping. And, it even holds up to repeated cycles through the washer and dryer.
But, best of all, it protects that investment! Crafted of 50/50 cotton/polyester with a vinyl barrier finish, the Priva Mattress Protector is not only waterproof, it’s also antibacterial.
This really is a must-have for every bed in the house. Retail: $25
