In the film, based on the best-selling novel by Sophie Kinsella, Isla Fisher enchants as the irrepressible shopaholic Rebecca Bloomwood. Throughout the film, she convinces herself over and over to purchase exquisite dresses, show stopping shoes, and — oh yes – stunning scarves by the dozen.
Although I would never consider myself a shopaholic, I do love to revamp my wardrobe with each season. And, one of the easiest ways for an instant update is through fashionable accessories like scarves (one of my trademark looks). For me, there simply is no other fashion accessory that makes such a strong and long-lasting fashion statement!
To feed my habit (addiction?), back in 2010 I discovered the FRAAS Company. This 130-year-old international design firm produces some of the loveliest scarves available — from floaty chiffon, to cozy wool, to oversized wraps, to new infinity scarves, and so many more.
For Fall/Winter 2013, FRAAS has a truly gorgeous line that includes a variety of yarns and techniques. So, no matter where you live – from the Arizona desert to the mountains of Vermont – you can add a new scarf to your favorite fall ensemble.
But, lest you think I am suggesting you go into debt for a new look à la Ms. Bloomwood, think again! FRAAS scarves retail from $26-$100, so there are always plenty of affordable options in every budget.
One of my top picks from the newest FRAAS line is the reversible scarf, pictured. Available in four autumnal shades including, petrol, dark red (my fave), purple and black, the scarf is reversible so you have the option of two distinctive looks. Crafted from a super-soft, snuggly mix of viscose and acrylic, the scarf measures 14 x72 inches. Retail $40
