Snow piling up and desperately looking for signs of spring? Try colored denim! In 2012, you’ll find it everywhere — on the runway, in Hollywood, at the mall. But why isn’t it on you?
Personally, I’ve hesitated a bit in taking the plunge because I feared the “5-minute trend” factor. Why splurge on pricey colored denim if it will be deemed “seriously 2011” in a short six months?
Reports for spring 2012, however, predict colored denim is here to stay (at least for a while). So, I’ve searched for some of the best colored denim to add an updated look to my spring wardrobe.
In the choices I’ve showcased here, I’ve stayed with medium to darker colors for a more slimming effect. Nothing looks worse that tight, light pants of any kind. And pastel denim seems to really highlight those problem areas. (Of course, if you’re a size 0, lavender or blush pink would be stunning.)
