The city that never sleeps. The Big Apple. Old New York. Whatever you call it, New York City is without question, one of the most exciting places in the world. The energetic hustle and bustle. The groundbreaking art. The amazing theatres. And of course, the dramatic skyline!
Although suburbia is now my home, I was born in “The City.” So, I was just thrilled when my husband returned home recently from a museum gift shop trade show with a pair of fabulous New York-themed earrings.
These Brooklyn Bridge-inspired hoop earrings were created in conjunction with the New York Historical Society. The tiny masterpieces are the work of talented Manhattan-based jewelry designer Cynthia Gale and part of her latest signature jewelry collection: The City That Never Sleeps. In fact, these gleaming sterling silver beauties are a tribute to the New York Historical Society’s Irving Browning collection, which immortalizes his career as a photographer and cinematographer.
The earring are cast in sterling and hand polished. The tracery that outlines the iconic bridge is delicate and the earrings are wonderfully lightweight, even though they are large in diameter. These earrings not only make a statement, they also truly capture the vibrant feeling of the city! Retail $69
In addition to the Brooklyn Bridge Earrings, The City That Never Sleeps Collection also contains stunning pieces like the Skyline necklace, Skyline Bracelet, Chrysler and Empire Cuff Links, and Landmark Rings. (Personally, I want them all…especially the Lady Liberty ring!) The pieces are available in trendy sterling silver, as well as in a striking two-tone combination of sterling and brass. The Collection starts at just $45 and ranges to $439 for the spectacular cuff bracelet.
The city skyline has never looked so good!
